Kinder Crew Update:
Current Newsletter Download:
These are pictures from our crew scavenger
hunt. We are now working on becoming experts on Schoolcraft using
the tools we found in the treasure chest.
Hello Kinder Families!
Kinder Crew has been focusing on using the Design Principles every day. We
are critiquing our big book drawings and creating final drafts. Our finished
book will include our drawings of the Design principles, photographs and our
recorded voices. We are also working on individual books about how we are of
service at home, at school and in our community. On Monday, we received a new
message from the mystery person with another mission. It stated that on Friday
we will be going to Havenwood Care Center to read with some of the residents.
We each received a book to read so are working very hard to read the words,
or retell the story using pictures.
The crew looks forward to sharing their hard work and a few treats with their
families and friends at our Knowing Where You're Going Celebration.

Stay Warm, Sarah

Please welcome Sarah Wilson as our new Kindergarten teacher! Sarah
graduated from BSU after a full academic year internship with SLC's
8th grade class. This is her second year teaching elementary school
at a charter school. Her first year at Grand Marais' Great Expectations
was a wonderful learning experience. Sarah currently lives in Bemidji
with her husband, Scott, one-year-old son, Finn, and dog, Challah.
They enjoy romping in the woods, exploring under rocks, and creating
masterpieces in the kitchen. Sarah is ecstatic to be back at SLC,
and can't wait for school to begin! |
